What is the difference between a mass shooting and a terrorist attack? Webster Dictionary states that terrorism is the, “use of a violent act to instill fear in order to achieve a political goal.’ In current terrorist attack, however, terrorists are not trying to use terrorism as a way of gaining information, but more as a violent threat to generate fear. An example would be suicide bombing. A mass shooting would be a single individual who was inspired to kill because of personal events.
